On April 16, 2016, the Director Zhang Mingwu of International Economic Cooperation Department of West Africa of Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China visited our Aveyime farm. Manager Fneg Nian of China Geo Engineering Corporation(CGC) Ghana Ltd accompanied.
During the visit, Manager Feng introduced the development course, present situation and future plans of Aveyime farm to Director Zhang. Currently Aveyime farm has become a small, comprehensive farm involving the planting, poultry, livestock breeding, aquaculture, and other agriculture. We have invited a number of agricultural experts, including the experts and professors from Shanghai ocean university, China Agricultural University and China-aided Ethiopia agricultural technology demonstration centers. They instructed their precious experiences and suggestions to us.
In the farm, we also established 50 kw solar power supply system to provide energy to the nearby irrigation project which is belong to the Ghana irrigation Development Authority.
Director Zhang praised us for the efforts of our company have made in Ghana agriculture and hope we can continue to make contributions to the development of local agriculture. He also spoke highly of the new energy project we have done and he said that new energy in Africa has great development potential especially we have technical advantages. We will have a bright future in Ghana if we take our advantage to construct more renewable energy project here.
