As part of the construction of the 27km Agbozume-Aflao road. The African Development Bank looking at the state of the Aflao Customs working area at the border area added the following works to the construction of the road works.
1. The complete concreting of all existing roads inside the border yard.
2. The paving of all the parking area/lots(i.e 6No.Lots)
3. The construction of 6No. new modern toilet facilities
4. The construction of multi-facet resting room for the waiting vehicles processing their documents to enter Ghana
5. The construction of 2 new checkpoints
6. The construction of 1new weighing bridge and 1new control room building
7. The construction of 100 stalls for the market sellers in and around the border area
The demolition of the historic Goodbye and Welcome to Ghana Arche and the reconstruction of new Arche.
Both the construction of the road works and the Agbozume-Aflao works and the facelift at the border was done concurrently by the contractor.
